Tarsus University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Midwifery Department and Ministry of Youth and Sports Tarsus Youth Center jointly organized the May 5 World Midwives Day Event.

In line with the 2024 theme determined by the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM): "Midwives: A Vital Climate Solution", our Midwifery Department organized a pleasant Midwives Day celebration surrounded by nature at Tarsus Ötügen Park with the slogan "Hands Touching Nature and Nature: Midwives", aiming to raise awareness that midwives are among the leading professions in the fight against climate change and global warming.

Midwifery Department Undergraduate and Graduate students, Midwifery Department academic staff and Tarsus Youth Center employees participated in the event. The event started at 09:00 on May 10, 2024 with a nature walk and morning exercise; continued with yoga, communication and integration games; cake cutting, music and our Department Head Assoc. The action ended with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation by TOKER to Tarsus Youth Center.
